CARACTERIZACIÓN OPERACIONAL DE NUEVO BANCO DE ENSAYOS DE BOMBAS CENTRIFUGAS DEL LABORATORIO DE TERMOFLUIDOS

Abstract

El presente trabajo de título realiza una caracterización operacionalexperimentalmente del nuevo banco de ensayo de bombas del Laboratorio deTermofluídos del departamento de Ingeniería Mecánica de la UTFSM a fin dedisponer de una base de datos para diversas configuraciones de funcionamiento yvalidar las curvas características entregadas por el fabricante.El trabajo consta de tres etapas, la primera etapa de análisis crítico del sistemarevisándose la configuración de equipos para verificar que cumpla con losestándares requerimientos del laboratorio. La segunda etapa corresponde alfuncionamiento del sistema de bombas, se verifica su correcto funcionamientollevándose a cabo múltiples ensayos con distintas configuraciones. La terceraetapa se realiza el análisis de los datos recopilados en los ensayos.En la etapa de análisis crítico se realizan ensayos preliminares para verificar elcumplimiento de las especificaciones del sistema, la verificación y calibración deinstrumentos de medición y el análisis de posibles modificaciones para mejorarlos parámetros de medición y las correcciones necesarias en caso de fallas.En la etapa de experimentación se realizan todos los ensayos y medicionesnecesarias para el cumplimiento de los objetivos del trabajo, entre ellos laobtención de las curvas operacionales de ambas bombas bajo distintasconfiguraciones, ya sea individual, en serie o en paralelo, y ensayos de cavitación.En la etapa de análisis de datos se determinan las curvas características de lasbombas, su rango de operación bajo distintas configuraciones y se elaborarondistintas tablas con las características reales de las bombas junto a la confecciónde juegos de datos para facilitar el desarrollo de laboratorios de ésta u otra unidaddocente. Como resultado se obtuvo una base de datos con ensayos suficientes paraelaborar múltiples juegos de datos para el desarrollo y evaluación de lasexperiencias académicas realizadas en el laboratorio. A la vez se comprueban quelas especificaciones entregadas por el fabricante son cercanas a las característicasde funcionamiento obtenidas a partir de ensayos reales.In the present work, an operational characterization is realized experimentallyof the new pump set of the Laboratory of the engineering department of theUTFSM in order to elaborate a database for diverse configurations ofperformance.The work is elaborated in three stages, the first stage of critical analysis of thesystem where the configuration is totally checked to verify that it satisfies therequirements of the laboratory, in the second stage the bomb system starts, hiscorrect performance is checked and multiple tests are carried out by differentconfigurations and in the third stage there is the analysis of the informationcompiled in the tests.In the stage of critical analysis preliminary tests are realized to check thefulfillment of the specifications of the system, the check and calibration ofinstruments of measurement, possible modifications are analyzed to improve theparameters of measurement and the necessary corrections in case of faults.In the stage of experimentation there are realized all the tests andmeasurements necessary for the fulfillment of the aims of the work, some of theare obtaining of the operational curves of both bombs under differentconfigurations, individually, in series or in parallel, and tests of cavitation.In the stage of analysis of information the characteristic curves of the bombsare elaborated with range of operation under different configurations, differenttables with the true characteristics of the bombs, and the confection of data sets tofacilitate the laboratory development of different branches given by theDepartment of Mechanics UTFSM. As results it was obtained a database with several tests to elaborate multipledata sets for the development of different courses dictated in the laboratory. At thesame time there is corroborated the similarity between factory specifications andthe real performance characteristics obtained through several test.
