Abstract
During the last decade, the advances in the techniques of concreting of buildings, as well as of the systems of enconfrados and moldings for different constructive elements, have allowed to reduce the times and costs of construction of considerable way. The huge gamma of forms and molds offered by the national market and mainly abroad allows choosing the one that best suits the geometric complexity of a specific building project. In this title work, the technical and economic advantages of using traditional moldings and monolithic forms in building construction will be studied through a comparative analysis between both systems. The monolithic formwork under study will be from the German manufacturer PERI, whose technical name is ONE. This formwork is a quick and cost-effective solution for residential building projects with geometries that are repeated a lot of times, both horizontally and vertically, where all UNO type shuttering panels are made of aluminum, very light, so they do not require the use of a crane for transport and installation.Due to the great complexity of comparing two completely different construction methods, this product of the number of externalities that affect the financial results of a building work, will seek to minimize the non-influential elements in this study, comparing two floors of geometries practically the same but developed with different form system in the same building.Looking to focus this title work and further narrow the variability in the results, the survey of information and measurements of productivity and losses in the processes associated with the formwork will be made in each of the five cycles that make up the floor of the type floor in analysis .The purpose of the technical-economic evaluation will be to demonstrate empirically whether the modification of traditional monolithic molds really represents a benefit for construction companies, for which a case study will be carried out in the work Álvarez - Dual Building, located in the city of Viña del Mar, in charge of the construction company Echeverría Izquierdo Edificaciones SA, construction in stage of heavy work and first to implement this modification in its construction system of formwork in the fifth region.Based on the information collected and the comparative analysis with respect to the traditional method of formwork, its implementation will be evaluated technically and economically, validating, refuting or conditioning its use as a cost-effective and innovative constructive possibility within the construction of buildings in our country.
