Módulo de conexión entre profesor guía y memorista en el sistema actual de memorias de pregrado DI-UTFSM

Abstract

Dado que el proceso de titulación es muy importante para los alumnos y la universidad, en un trabajo previo se diseñó e implementó un sistema para gestionar el proceso de memorias de los alumnos del departamento de informática, lamentablemente la primera entrega del sistema no considera el problema de oferta y demanda de temas que se presenta en un semestre con gran cantidad de memoristas, es por lo que en el desarrollo de este escrito se hicieron propuestas para mejorar la conexión entre memoristas y profesores guías, permitiendo que los alumnos presenten sus propias ideas a los profesores mitigando el problema de demanda excesiva. Adicionalmente al diseño, implementación e integración de los nuevos módulos al sistema, se trabajó con profesores y alumnos partícipes del proceso de titulación para mejorar ciertos módulos según fuese necesario, logrando agregar nuevas funcionalidades y mejorar las ya existentes. Since the graduation process is critical for students and universities, in a previous work a system to manage thesis work in the department of informatics was designed and implemented, unfortunately the first iteration of the system did not consider the problem of supply and demand that can appear in a semester with high amount of students, that is why in the development of this writing, proposal were made to improve connection between students and professors who will guide their thesis, allowing the students to propose their own ideas tho the professors mitigating the problem of excessive demand. In addition to the design, implementation and integration of the new modules, input from professors and students participant in the process of graduation were used to improve some modules if needed, managing to add new functionalities and improve the ones in existence.
