Abstract
The objective of this research was to develop a Disaster Risk Reduction Plan (DRRP) proposal for the workplace of Inversiones Sibarita SpA, the company responsible for managing the 366 Patio Penquista food court, located in the city of Concepción, Biobío, Chile. The study was conducted as applied research using a mixed-methods approach, based on a literature and regulatory review, direct field observation, and the collection of information on the operational conditions of the workplace. The primary methodological framework was the Guide for the Implementation of the Disaster Risk Reduction Plan in Workplaces of Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs), which guided the development of the research. During the study, hazards, vulnerabilities, available resources, and organizational capabilities were identified, allowing the assessment of risks associated with the operational characteristics of the workplace and its surrounding environment. Based on the findings, measures focused on prevention, mitigation, preparedness, and emergency response were proposed in accordance with current regulations and the specific needs of the organization. As a result, a workplace- pecific Disaster Risk Reduction Plan proposal was developed, incorporating risk reduction measures, assigned responsibilities, procedures, and actions aimed at strengthening emergency preparedness and supporting the organization's operational continuity. The proposal constitutes a technical tool to enhance disaster risk management within the workplace and provides a foundation for the implementation of continuous improvement actions in safety and organizational resilience.
