Abstract
Microfinance is being developed throughout the world long as a means to fight poverty, the most widespread instrument is microcredit, which is small unsecured loans to individuals or groups in order to start or expand businesses. Microfinance aims to alleviate poverty by stimulating economic growth through entrepreneurship.Currently, in Chile, there are different players involved in the microfinance market, of which microentrepreneurs are those who invest in their businesses or projects seeking to improve their quality of life, microfinance institutions (MFIs) that are responsible to provide microcredits and in some cases to train microentrepreneurs to have more tools to improve their businesses and the government institutions that provide funds to MFIs to encourage their smooth operation and reach the largest number of microentrepreneurs. In the analysis of content that was made, it could be seen that knowledge is more linked to the advertising that is done, but all companies asserted that advertising or investing in this, is not one of their priorities, in addition to invest in this would generate costs that can increase the credit granted to customers and that the most effective method they have to make themselves known is that their clients provide the knowledge of how the business of the company in which they are and how they work. microcredits to potential clients. Although it has not been so much invested in making microcredit known, Fondo Esperanza has been delivering it for 15 years and people are able to recognize that it is dedicated and to a lesser extent how it works, which has allowed people to know the market and find other options, so it has also helped the knowledge of other MFIs.As far as access to the system was concerned, it was possible to see that this is a primordial activity that is related to most of the variables that affect microcredit. In its most important relationships, risk minimization is highlighted, since this is a subject has to worry as soon as it begins to evaluate the microentrepreneur who wants to obtain the microcredit, being one of the operations more critical in the individual credit so that there is no delay in the future and also it is important in the group credit but it is approached of a different way focusing on the understanding and acceptance of the group that they have to pay the part of the other members if they do not pay.It was possible to conclude that there are many points that can be improved so that people have more opportunities to opt for a microcredit and it is imperative to improve the conditions so that people of lesser resources have the possibility to participate in the microfinance market, there are several institutions that are dedicated to microcredit, they still have too many requirements that make a large part of the population unfit for funding. Another aspect that could be seen that needs improvement is the support that should be given between government institutions and MFIs in order to have a greater reach and social impact.
