Abstract
La presente memoria, tiene por finalidad evaluar la oportunidad de negocio de implementar una empresa de transporte de carga terrestre que ofrezca un servicio integral abocado a satisfacer las necesidades logísticas de SMU mediante el uso de una herramienta de factibilidad técnica y económica, la cual se debe caracterizar por contar con un modelo de negocio robusto que permita generar una ventaja competitiva, la cual sea acorde con las exigencias y necesidades del cliente SMU.
En la actualidad la logística de SMU requiere contar con un servicio de transportes adecuado a sus necesidades, y que sea lo suficientemente flexible y/o polivalente para adaptarse a la variedad de formatos y salas de ventas que conforman el Holding. El universo de proveedores se compone de empresas de gran tamaño reconocidas en el mercado, sin embargo estas empresas no están avocadas al rubro supermercadista, sino que se focalizan en las zonas mineras, y operando camiones con capacidades superiores a los estándares de SMU lo que genera que deba cubrir parte de sus necesidades a través de pequeñas empresas que se caracterizan por ser poco confiables, muchas veces funcionando en lógicas informales (tratos), y poco profesionalizadas.
En el estudio de mercado, se logró identificar que existe una demanda insatisfecha representada por la alta rotación de los pequeños proveedores dada la carencia en la calidad y cualidad del servicio ofrecido. Por lo tanto se debe tener presente que para poder generar una ventaja competitiva con foco en la prestación de un servicio integral, se debe tener en consideración y conocimiento que el servicio de logística no solo incluye el traslado de carga desde un lugar a otro a un costo competitivo, sino más bien se deben considerar elementos del servicio incorporando atributos que sean valorados por el cliente, tales como confiabilidad, disponibilidad de camiones, calidad de servicio y profesionalismo, entre otros.
Se determinó que la empresa se situará en el sector de Miraflores en la comuna de Renca, región Metropolitana, permitiendo acceder con facilidad a las autopistas que conectan rápidamente con el CD Lo Aguirre, ya que le la prestación de servicio se limita a rutas dentro de la región metropolitana y rutas ampliadas hacia le V región. Además se analizaron los requerimientos necesarios de equipo, personal, financiamiento y legales para que la empresa pueda a arrancar con su operación.
Realizando la respectiva evaluación económica en base a los costos y los recursos necesarios para llevar a cabo el proyecto, se obtiene que el VAN del proyecto es de $7.694.043, la TIR de un 20,22%, además el periodo de recuperación de la inversión (PAYBACK) es de 4,2 años.
Finalmente, realizando una sensibilización del VAN en función de las variables críticas del proyecto se determina que este tomará un valor positivo en al menos el 71% de los casos según las variables seleccionadas para los supuestos de probabilidad, con una media de $22.770.469.
En consecuencia, se recomienda la implementación de este proyecto puesto que los resultados obtenidos son favorables para su ejecución. Para ello se han definido Indicadores como un herramienta para medir la gestión logística, de manera que por medio de los resultados obtenidos tomar acciones y decisiones frente a los posibles escenarios que se puedan presentar en la etapa de funcionamiento del proyecto.
This research aims to asses the business opportunity to implement a land freight transport company. offering an integral service focused on meeting the logistical needs of SMU using a tool of technical and economic feasibility, which must be characterized by having a robust business model that will generate a competitive advantage which is in line with the requirements and customer needs of SMU. Currently SMU logistics required to have a service suited to their needs transport, and that is sufficiently flexible and / or polyvalent to adapt to the variety of formats and showrooms make up the Holding. The universe of providers include big companies recognized market size, however these companies are not focused on the supermarket category, but focus on the mining areas, and operating trucks with higher standards SMU generating capacity have to cover part of its needs through small companies that are characterized as not very reliable, often working in informal logic (treatment), and unprofessional. In market research, it is possible to identify that there is an unmet demand represented by the high turnover of small providers because of the lack in the quality of service offered. Therefore It should be noted that in order to generate a competitive advantage with a focus on providing an integral service, must be taken into consideration and knowledge logistics service, not only includes the transfer of cargo from one place to another to a cost competitive, but rather should consider incorporating elements of service attributes that are valued by the customer, such as reliability, availability of trucks, service quality and professionalism, among others. It was determined that the company will be located in the area of Miraflores in Renca, metropolitan region, allowing easy access to highways that connect quickly with CD Lo Aguirre, and that service delivery is limited to routes within the metropolitan region and expanded routes to V region. Besides were analyzed the necessary requirements of equipment, personnel, finance and legal to start its operation. By performing the respective economic evaluation based on the costs and resources needed to carry out the project, we find that the NPV (van en ingles) of the project is $7.694.043, the IRR of 20,22% also the payback period on investment (PAYBACK ) is 4,2 years. Finally, performing a sensitization of the VPN in function of the critical variables of the project is determined that this will take a positive value in at least 71% of cases according to selected variables for the assumptions of probability, with an average of $ 22,770,469.
