Abstract
El presente trabajo describe el diseño e implementación de una solución de Asistente Virtual Cognitivo, también conocido como chatbot, para la Cruz Roja Chilena. El proyecto surge de la necesidad de la organización de mostrar su información de una forma más accesible, concisa y fácil de navegar, un objetivo que su sitio web no ha podido lograr y que, si bien se ha avanzado integrando redes sociales, aún está lejos de su alcance. En particular, desde la organización plantean que la solución debe contar con un fuerte enfoque en entrega de información masiva en periodos de emergencia, que es cuando el volumen de consultas crece considerablemente, dificultando la tarea al área de comunicaciones.
The present work describes the design and implementation of a Cognitive Virtual Assistant solution -also known as chatbot- for Chilean Red Cross. The project aims to satisfy the organization needs for offering its information to the community in a way that is more accessible, concise and easy to navigate, a goal that it’s still far out of reach for its website, even though progress has been made thanks to social networks integration. In particular, the organization asked for a solution with a strong focus on information for the masses in emergency periods, because that’s when the number of questions rises considerably, difficulting work for the communications team.
