(Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, 2016) VIDAURRE MOLINA, JORGE ALEJANDRO; SOTO YÁÑEZ, CARLOS HUMBERTO; Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria UTFSM DEPARTAMENTO DE INGENIERÍA COMERCIAL; PESCE SANTANA, GIOVANNI
This paper proposes a methodology based on user collaboration through a web platform, known as crowdsourcing, which includes the Business Canvas Model, the Lean Startup and the Economical Project Evaluation methodologies to be an improvement in the process of the design, evaluation and launch for new business ideas, speeding up the process of getting ideas and projects, becoming a tool for facilitating the work of universities and business incubators in terms of information management of innovation's projects and sponsored research. In this context, it was studied the recent history of innovation and entrepreneurship in Chile and confirmed how public policies adopted in recent years have positively influenced the way that our society values the new ventures. However, in this review was also possible to appreciate that public efforts in innovation are associated with government agendas rather than a long-term strategy, and that there are still major obstacles to diversifying the supply of goods and services exports to technology-based, including the absence of risk capital, the advanced human resource shortages and the difficulty for the marketing of national products and services abroad. Part of the study also involved observe some of the international success stories such as Kickstarter, Waze, Gov Challenge, Climate CoLab, 99Desings, among others; which based on mass collaboration via The Internet, they have changed the markets making use of modern information systems. The mentioned methodologies were also contrasted, noting that they are compatible and that the analysis of information obtained from the methodologies may help detect problems and opportunities associated with the technical and financial feasibility of the projects and ideas of entrepreneurship from its inception that now are ignored. Finally, in the projected revenue streams and costs for self-sustaining development of the project, it was determined that it is possible to obtain a return of 48% for the 7-year evaluation of the project, considering sales price of 450, 1000 and 2000 USD monthly for portfolio management projects services to small, medium and large organizations respectively. In addition, it was estimated that on the national context it can be possible to recover the corresponding investment of USD 414,820 in the fifth year of operation and that the strategic priorities for the success of the project should focus on finding the appropriate human capital, customer development, the continued development of service and brand positioning.
