Hence, it is vitally important to count with a service in Maintenance Management of excellence which, in turn, will be aligned with the vision and mission of the organization, since the concept of maintenance management it is a powerful tool to achieving organizational goals. According to this, the main objective of this work it is create a Maintenance Management design based on Balanced Scorecard, aiming to quantify and asses plant performance values and thereby, extracting the necessary information to conclude if the organization is effectively aligned with its own mission and vision. In order to study the current Maintenance Management situation of the organization, an analysis is carried out to find shortcomings and weaknesses that reduce performance effectiveness, meaning not reaching global objectives of the organization. Once the analysis by Balanced Scorecard method is made, plus managing concepts of Maintenance Engineering and Continual Improvement, the next step will be proceed with strategic planning (3 years) to the Maintenance Area, which establish in detail the objectives, strategies and people responsible for the fulfillment of the agreement proposed to the Balanced Scorecard study. Thereby, it will formulate a Maintenance Management System assuring the alignment of the organization with its own vision and mission, improving as consequence, its performance.
