The following document reflects the study done globally about the reality of hydric resources and the importance this has for agriculture’s subsistence, and therefore for the survival of the human race. This work reveals the development of some countries that are already implementing the concept of re-using hydric resources, and the savings it can generate. In addition, the legislation that exists both nationally and also in other countries that are pioneers in water re-use, is noted. The design of a system to irrigate with residual waters, specifically gray waters, is shown; and how these can be recovered after being used at home. Finally, the advantages that the system shows, the projections observed in these kinds of systems, and the threats that are currently presented for further development are identified.
