Thesis MODELO DE NEGOCIOS PARA LA DISTRIBUCIÓN DE ENERGÍA ELÉCTRICA EN BAJA TENSIÓN A TRAVÉS DE ERNC(2017) Ramirez San Martin, Roberto Ignacio; Departamento de Industrias; Muñoz, Gerardo; Jara, WilfredoChile's solar potential, lower costs of photovoltaic panels and the entry into force of Law 20,571 have allowed the incorporation of photovoltaic technology not only in large-sized power plants but also directly in residential customers.Based on the above, it is attractive, from a technical-economic point of view, to analyze the development of a business model based on this type of technology in residential customers with BT1 tariff. It is a business model based on the savings by consumption of electric energy whose benefits are shared between the investor and the final consumer. The present thesis analyzes first of all the alternatives that the user has to implement this type of solution, identifying their main difficulties to access it. The business model become a mechanism that allows creating value for the user and also for the investor. The analysis of the current regulatory framework, the main technical characteristics of the implementation of the solution and the behavior of the market from the perspective of the supply, demand and price projections that the user faces are considered. Finally, an economic and strategic analysis is carried out, allowing to give feasibility and sustainability to the proposed business model.Within the main results it was determined that the minimum sale price of the energy to the users is of $ 108 / kWh, which means a reduction between 9% to 39% compared to the current value of the average BT1 tariff, depending on the region. With this energy price the period of recovery of the investment is 6.5 years with capital intensive which suggests a significant economic backing. BT1 customers will be encouraged to incorporate this technology, which will reduce their electricity bill without the need for financing, technical knowledge. In particular, customers with consumption of more than 200 kWh / month will be attracted to incorporate this solution as a complement to the current electricity supply, avoiding the payment of surcharge fees in its tariff, which finally finance the rate equality.
