This memory work relates mainly to the study of two solar distillation equipments, the first one a passive solar distiller basin type and the second a active solar distiller of multiple effects. Both equipments had to be properly diagnosed, repaired and implemented to achieve its correct original condition in the case of the basin distiller and optimum performance in the case of multiple effects distiller. On the other hand, a protocol of start-up and operation is developed for the distiller of multiple effects, preventing users from damaging or generate failures in the equipment. Once developed a total knowledge of the distiller of multiple effects and different tests of distillation are generated different proposals for improvements and implementations that can increase both the efficiency of the equipment and the ability to obtain distilled water.
