Abstract
Esta memoria trata la formulación e implementación de un plan de calidad de softwarepara el desarrollo del sistema web Intranet del Departamento de Informática de laUniversidad Técnica Federico Santa María. Intranet es un sistema que busca agilizarvarios de los procesos internos que involucran a estudiantes, profesores y funcionarios deldepartamento antes mencionado. Las funcionalidades son desarrolladas, en general, porestudiantes en práctica y ayudantes bajo una metodología iterativa incremental, peroexisten varios problemas en ésta que conllevan a la baja satisfacción de los usuariosfinales. Se realizó una reseña sobre las metodologías de desarrollo de software que sepodrían aplicar para resolver el problema, junto con las herramientas técnicas que vana complementar tales metodologías. Luego, se presenta una comparativa de éstas segúnlos requerimientos del proyecto y las circunstancias de éste, para luego proceder a unaimplementación. A partir del trabajo realizado, se logra definir un esquema de trabajoque no solo permite un aseguramiento de calidad al proyecto Intranet, sino que tambiénllega a definir un estándar para el desarrollo del software de uso interno por parte delDepartamento de Informática.
The following memoir presents the formulation and implementation of a Software QualityAssurance plan (SQA plan) for the Intranet web system of the Departamento deInformática (Department of Informatics) at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María.Intranet is a web application designed to help streamline many of the processesinvolving students, teachers, and staff of this department. The features of this applicationare developed, in general, by internship students and assistant students under anincremental iterative methodology, from which many problems have been discovered,thus leading to low end-user satisfaction with the system. In this document, many ofthe software development methodologies that could be applied to the project, togetherwith the technical tools that complement them, are reviewed and compared. Then, anSQA Plan is prepared and implemented using the chosen options. This plan has succeededin creating a workflow that not only provides the Intranet project with it’s neededquality assurance, but also serves as a new standard for use in the development of othersoftware projects tailored to this department.
