Abstract
En el Sistema de Salud chileno coexisten dos subsistemas de salud, uno público yotro privado, los establecimientos de salud no se rigen bajo ningún tipo de ente acreditaciónobligatoria, que asegure la calidad y la seguridad de los pacientes en las prestaciones dadaspor un prestador de salud a lo largo del tiempo.Con la reforma de la salud en Chile, durante el año 2005 nacen las garantíasexplícitas en salud que permiten al Estado entregar prestaciones a patologías específicas,que incluyen cuatro garantías: acceso, oportunidad, protección financiera y calidad. Lastres primeras garantías están vigentes y pueden ser exigibles por la población. A partir de laentrada en vigencia de la garantía explícita en salud de calidad, los establecimientos quepodrán otorgar prestaciones garantizadas explícitamente, deberán estar acreditados en laSuperintendencia de Salud. Esto supone un mejoramiento considerable en la calidad desalud tanto pública como privada.En el año 2015 el 44,7% de clínicas y hospitales tiene sello de calidad, segúnreporte de la Superintendencia, es decir, han logrado demostrar que cumplen con estándaresde calidad y seguridad en la atención de los pacientes, y que poseen instalacionesadecuadas. El Hospital I.S.T. de Viña del Mar como un establecimiento de salud, seencontraba en el porcentaje que aún no había acreditado, por lo que fue en busca de laacreditación en el año 2016.El Departamento de Mantención y Servicios del Hospital, no estaba ajeno a esteproceso, por lo que tuvo que llevar a cabo programas de mantenimiento de equipos einstalaciones, un protocolo de seguimiento de vida útil, un plan de prevención de incendios,planes de contingencia de cortes de suministros. Todo esto protocolos de acuerdo a la pautade cotejo entrega por la Superintendencia de Salud.El resultado de la realización de los programas realizados por el Departamento deMantención y Servicios, fue encaminar al Hospital IST Viña del Mar a la acreditaciónhospitalaria, como también el mejoramiento de los procesos de mantenimiento.

The Hospital I.S.T. of “Viña del Mar” as an establishment ofhealth, one was thinking in the percentage that even he had not accredited, for what it wasin search of the accreditation in the year 2016.Mantencion's Department and Services of the Hospital, it was not foreign to thisprocess, for what it had to realize programs of maintenance of equipment’s and facilities,protocol of follow-up of useful life, a plan of prevention of fires, plans of contingency ofcourts of supplies.
