Abstract
En Chile, al igual que en otras economías a nivel internacional, existen sectores económicos donde la mujer tiene una baja participación laboral, a su vez, existen otros sectores de la economía, donde la mujer tiene mayor representación, como es el caso del Sector Comercio, Salud, Educación y también el sector financiero.
Para poder evaluar el impacto que tiene en el PIB aumentar la participación laboral femenina es que se tomó un sector de la economía en particular, el Sector Financiero, donde anualmente los retornos sobre los activos y patrimonio crecen.
Para medir el impacto de la fuerza laboral femenina en el sector financiero, se evaluó un período de tiempo, desde el año 2013 al año 2020 (anterior a la pandemia) y a través de la función Cobb Douglas, se realizó un modelo de regresión simple, para explicar si la variable empleados y mujeres empleadas era representativa en el modelo.
Posteriormente se evaluó los Bancos Comerciales en el período 2013-2020, donde se realiza un análisis anual de la proporción de hombres y mujeres en la fuerza laboral, también la participación de las mujeres en los directorios y los retornos sobre Activos y Patrimonio de cada banco.
Para finalizar se realiza un análisis de aquellos bancos con mayor retorno del patrimonio y se evalúa la participación de las mujeres en promedio en la fuerza laboral como en la Alta Dirección de estas compañías.
In Chile, as in other economies at the international level, there are economic sectors where women have a low labor participation, in turn, there are other sectors of the economy, where women have greater representation, as is the case of the Trade Sector, Health, Education and also the financial sector. In order to evaluate the impact that increasing female labor participation has on GDP, a particular sector of the economy was taken, the Financial Sector, where returns on assets and equity grow annually. To measure the impact of the female workforce in the financial sector, a period of time was evaluated, from 2013 to 2020 (before the pandemic) and through the Cobb Douglas function, a simple regression model was performed, to explain whether the variable employees and women employees was representative in the model. Subsequently, the Commercial Banks were evaluated in the period 2013-2020, where an annual analysis of the proportion of men and women in the workforce is carried out, as well as the participation of women in the directories and the returns on Assets and Equity of each bank. Finally, an analysis is made of those banks with the highest return on equity and the participation of women on average in the labor force as well as in the Senior Management of these companies is evaluated.
