Abstract
El bienestar general de las personas pasa por diferentes factores tanto individuales como del grupo social que están inmersos, siendo en un contexto macroeconómico, este objetivo logrado principalmente mediante el crecimiento económico que los países.
Como ellos mejoran las condiciones de sus ciudadanos, desde un punto de vista meramente económico, puede ser considerado una mirada materialista, sin embargo, este es sin duda, uno de los factores preponderantes para mejorar el bienestar general y la calidad de vida de las personas, tal como dijo Paul Krugman:
“La productividad no lo es todo, pero, en el largo plazo, es casi todo. La habilidad de un país de mejorar su nivel de vida en el tiempo depende, casi exclusivamente, de su habilidad de aumentar su producto por trabajador”.
El crecimiento es una medida multidimensional, abarcando no solamente lo meramente económico, sino también, condiciones mínimas de seguridad en lo social. Vemos como sociedades que tienen una distribución mas justa de la riqueza a la par que su crecimiento económico es sostenido, tienen una mejor calidad de vida, esto medido no solo en indicadores objetivos, sino también en la percepción que los individuos tienen de su sociedad.
Un factor preponderante en el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida es la seguridad social, y, el sostener un empleo, les permite a los individuos mantener las condiciones para satisfacer sus necesidades no solo mas básicas de protección, sino también de realización personal. El desempleo puede afectar estos recursos, y tanto el Mercado como el Estado, deben lograr primero sostener esos ingresos y luego rápidamente reubicar o proveer de los empleos suficientes para dinamizar la economía en su conjunto.
Es así, como la flexibilidad y seguridad social, son un elemento central del crecimiento sostenible de las economías y la mejor calidad de vida en general de la sociedad. Avanzar en ello, es parte de la construcción en conjunto de una sociedad más equilibrada, más dinámica y flexible, que avance a la par en todas sus dimensiones para construir un modelo social que proporcione felicidad y satisfacción a cada persona.
The general welfare of people depends on different factors, both individual and of the social group in which they are immersed, and in a macroeconomic context, this objective is achieved mainly through the economic growth of countries. How they improve the conditions of their citizens, from a purely economic point of view, can be considered a materialistic look, however, this is undoubtedly one of the preponderant factors to improve the general welfare and quality of life of people, as Paul Krugman said: "Productivity is not everything, but, in the long run, it is almost everything. A country's ability to improve its standard of living over time depends, almost exclusively, on its ability to increase its output per worker." Growth is a multidimensional measure, encompassing not only the purely economic, but also minimum conditions of social security. We see how societies that have a fairer distribution of wealth and sustained economic growth have a better quality of life, measured not only in objective indicators, but also in the perception that individuals have of their society. The preponderant factor in the improvement of the quality of life is social security, and holding a job allows individuals to maintain the conditions to satisfy not only their most basic needs for protection, but also for personal fulfillment. Unemployment can affect these resources, and the market, together with the State, must first succeed in sustaining these incomes and then quickly relocate or provide sufficient jobs to energize the economy. Thus, flexibility and social security are central to the sustainable growth of economies and the overall quality of life of society. Advancing in this area is part of the overall construction of a more balanced, dynamic and flexible society that advances in all its dimensions to build a social model that provides happiness and satisfaction to each person.
