Abstract
This work shows a quantitative and qualitative study of the selection of careers related to management sciences, such as business administration technician, business administration engineer and commercial engineer, each of these was analyzed under a model proposed in SOLVER where an "economic optimum" was verified, that is, which careers institutions within a career is more profitable has better, payback and return, offering better economic options to students and a "social optimum", which analyzed the lower cost of studying vs performance, that is, the best option for students in which the decision involves an economic issue, to be able to choose the institution that best represents a potential for low-income students. On the other hand, an analysis of social variables was carried out, investigating and developing variables of the qualitative type, implications, preferences and international factors, which would allow obtaining results and answers. The study shows that universities continue to be the best option to study in any line of decision, since they offer better returns and better salary opportunities, showing that even the country does not really value technical education or its institutions, remaining in Of course, by obtaining 31.7% of graduates with continuity of studies on average, versus 6% in IP and 4% in university students, on the other hand, the most relevant factor is accreditation, which also responds to the most important institutions. Traditional, as an effective means of quality, the best options are the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Universidad de Chile with the highest incomes, accreditations, and employability in the market. But if you do not have the resources to pay for the best universities, there are options such as the Universidad Católica del Cardenal Silva Henríquez and the Universidad Católica del Norte, which offer a good performance versus tariff ratio, that is, a quality above average and incomes according to to the market, despite having low tariffs within its group. However, to what one might think, the international performance is considerably favorable, since within the TOP 5 LATAM, there are 3 national universities and they fight for the first 4 positions, therefore, studying in Chile versus LATAM this area is preferable, due to the high costs of studying abroad and the high costs of studying at a business school. One of the qualitative factors most highlighted in this research is that the social outlook clearly depends on the selected school and the institution, having great differences in the origin of the students, from secondary education to the different tertiary training centers. There is also an equivalence, the more years of studies, that is, the longer the career lasts, the higher income and employability you will be able to obtain.
