The present document studies the process of development, optimization, statistical validation and implementation of an investment system which considers an algorithmic model based on quantitative technical analysis for trading a group of large capitalization stocks. In the first place, the model will be created and set by formulating its rules, selecting the objective function and the evaluation metrics, conducting historical simulations and optimization tests, averaging the results, undertaking walk-forward tests, and trialing its final configuration on other sets of stocks. The final objective of the model will be to obtain a system that delivers results that involve an adequate balance between profitability and risk, by performing during the application in real time in a similar way it did in the tests from the development process. As a case of study, the application on the constituent stocks of the S&P 100 index has been considered, although the same methodology could be applicable to other assets or markets. Subsequently, a monitoring system for real trading will be developed. It will allow verification that the operation of the system in real time is consistent with the one predicted in the development stage, alerting the investor when deviations that exceed the pre-established tolerances occur. Finally, for the implementation of the model, a leveraged investment account denominated in foreign currency will be considered, as well as a second investment account in fixed income denominated in local currency. The combination of both accounts will increase the return on capital and reduce exposure to currency risk.es_CL
