The Rankine Cycle is a conversion technology widely used in power generation. Formerly, the heat sources used were high temperature (about 600◦C), mainly to effect the phase change of the most used fluid: Water. Currently, the Cycle has experienced improvements in order to achieve electricity generation with lower temperature sources and diversify them. Here the Organic Rankine Cycle is born, which replaces water with organic fluids, which have a considerably lower critical temperature (between 100 and 300◦C) and lower vaporization/condensation enthalpies compared to water. One of the last modifications made to the Cycle is the use of zeotropic mixtures as working fluid, the central reason is the increase in efficiency achieved with the mixtures. In the following work a compilation of information referring to the main technologies of heat conversion and heat sources currently used was carried out.es_CL
