Abstract
El crecimiento urbano en el último tiempo ha ido de manera ascendente, dejando de lado las áreas verdes, eliminando parques y plazas para emplazar grandes edificios, llenando de grandes torres las ciudades, convirtiéndose en un paisaje gris a los ojos del ser humano. De esta manera es como las urbes van dejando de lado la capa vegetal que cubría el territorio desde el principio, agregando además en aumento de la población, densificando la cantidad de habitantes por metro cuadrado, además del exceso de radiación, falta de ventilación, teniendo como consecuencias dificultades en el momento de materializar cada construcción, problemas medio ambientales asociados a la falta de planificación, de conocimiento sobre la sostenibilidad, al consumo de los recursos naturales por parte de las personas, etc.Por la problemática nombrada anteriormente, se han generado sistemas constructivos capaces de aminorar y solucionar los problemas asociados a la contaminación, y que ayudan a impulsar el ahorro energético. Dentro de estos sistemas están las fachadas verdes que se incorporan en los edificios, las cuales entregan un equilibrio y armonía en los espacios, de acuerdo con cada necesidad y en función de los materiales a utilizar en la construcción, generando una alternativa eficaz y eficiente para los problemas descritos anteriormente.El enfoque de la presente memoria es sobre el sistema constructivo de las fachadas verdes, específicamente en el uso de la doble piel vegetal que fue usada en el edificio Consorcio ubicado en la ciudad de Santiago, siendo la primera gran construcción del país en utilizar muros verdes como sistema de fachada.
The urban growth in the last time has gone in ascending way, leaving the green areas aside, eliminating parks and squares to place great buildings, filling with large towers the cities, becoming a gray landscape at sight of the human being. This is how the cities are leaving the plant layer aside that covered the territory from the beginning, also adding an population increase, densifying the number of inhabitants per square meter, in addition to excess radiation, lack of ventilation, taking as consequences, difficulties at the time of materializing each construction, environmental problems associated with lack of planning, knowledge about sustainability, consumption of natural resources by people, etc.Due to the problem mentioned above, constructive systems have been generated able to reduce and solve the problems associated with pollution, and which help to boost energy savings. Within these systems are the green facades that are incorporated on the buildings, which provide a balance and harmony in the spaces, according to each need and depending on the materials to be used in the construction, generating an effective and efficient alternative for the problems described previously.The focus of this report is on the constructive system of the green facades, specifically in the use of the double vegetal skin that was used in the Consorcio building located in the city of Santiago, being the first large construction in the country to use green walls as a facade system.
