Este hecho ha fraido consigo la proliferación de movimientossociales que mediante la ocupación de estos edificios, mostrar al mundo el graveproblema de la vivienda en la sociedad brasilera , siendo en si mismas una protestaen contra de los modelos que rigen la Ciudad hoy en dia.El proyecfo a mostrar pretende mediante el previo esfudio de las ocupaciones en elpals, mostrar en un caso especIfico soluciones arquitéctónicas que puedan ser efectuadasen estas pre-existencias con espacios dinámicos y progresivos como escenariosde anticipación ante las viviendas sod les de gran altura, con cuestionamientossobre el desarrollo de las mismas, los programas que puedan tener asociados, y todoesto con el objeto de dar una vision crItica sobre los mecanismos fradicionales decreación de viviendas sociales, tratando de alguna manera prever maneras de darviviendas dignas en barrios con las infraestructuras necesarias, no acôtándolas a laperiferia, devolviéndoles la razOn social a estos edifcios, deber que está incluso en laconstitución de Brasil.
HERNANDEZ, MG 911 Prestes Maia 911 Tower Renovation, Occupation of High-RiseBuildings, São Paulo, Brazil.The obsolescence of buildings in São Paulo downtown has become a typical imageof the city skyline, bringing with it a strong debate on housing policies and economicand socio-cultural development architectural itself, especially in a place where thereare a lot of homeless. This has brought with it the proliferation of social movements byoccupying these buildings, showing the world the serious housing problem in Braziliansociety, being themselves a protest against the goverment models that rule the citytoday.The project aims to show by the previous study of the occupations in the country, in aspecific case, show architectural solutions that can be made in these pre-existing withdynamic and progressive spaces as stages prior to the high-rise social housing, withquestions about the development of them, architectural programs that can be associatedwith it, and all this in order to give a critical view of the traditional mechanismsfor social housing development, trying to somehow foresee ways to dignify homes inneighborhoods with the necessary infrastructures not putting them in the periphery,restoring the social purpose to this buildings, duty that is even in Brazil's constitution.
