Abstract
El presente trabajo tiene por objeto presentar el diseño de la herramienta de planificaciónestratégica y control de gestión Balanced scorecard (BSC) o Cuadro de MandoIntegral (CMI) para la Fundación Profesor Anibal Ariztía (FUNDAR); la que, al ser aplicadapor su gerencia, le proporcione una mayor desenvoltura en la toma de decisiones enel contexto de la implementación efectiva de planes para mejorar su gestión.Esta memoria consta de seis capítulos. La primera parte presenta brevemente las basesdel establecimiento de FUNDAR, y expone la necesidad de implementar una herramientade gestión como el CMI en esta organización. En el segundo capítulo se introduce elobjetivo general de este estudio, junto con los objetivos específicos necesarios para cumplirel primero, exponiendo además el alcance y limitaciones del mismo. A continuación,en el tercer capítulo, se desarrolla el marco teórico de este trabajo, el cual corresponde auna revisión bibliográfica actualizada acerca de los temas más relevantes para el contextode esta memoria. La cuarta parte de este trabajo corresponde al desarrollo del estudio, yentrega un análisis externo e interno completo de FUNDAR, realizado con la intenciónde definir los ejes estratégicos y la propuesta de valor de esta firma, los que se utilizaroncomo base para el diseño de su plan estratégico, expuesto en el siguiente capítulo. Esteplan, muestra la relación causa-efecto existente entre los diferentes objetivos estratégicos,empleados para la elaboración del CMI y los indicadores correspondientes de control ygestión. Adicionalmente, se presenta el diseño del plan de implementación del CMI antesmencionado, en donde se indican costos y beneficios presupuestados, de ser aplicada estapropuesta. Finalmente, el sexto capítulo resalta las principales ideas expuestas en este trabajoy resume el diseño de implementación propuesto.
The aim of this thesis is to introduce the design of an implementation plan of the strategyperformance management tool Balanced Scorecard (BSC) for Fundación ProfesorAníbal Ariztía (FUNDAR). The application of this tool by FUNDAR directive will facilitatethe decision-making process in the context of an effective execution of procedures formanagement improvement.This thesis comprises six chapters. The first chapter introduces the foundations ofFUNDAR, and briefly depicts the necessity to implement a management tool such as BSCin this organization. The second chapter presents the main goal of this study, along withthe general aims established to accomplish the main objective, also disclosing the reachand limitations of this proposal. The third chapter contains an update on the literaturebackground regarding the most relevant subjects considered in this work. The four chaptercovers the elaboration of this study, and delivers a complete internal and external analysisof FUNDAR, assembled in order to outline the strategic points and value proposal of thisfoundation, which were then considered to design the strategic plan described on chapter5. This plan, shows the existing cause-effect association amongst the different strategicobjectives employed in the elaboration of the BSC and the corresponding managementand control indicators. Furthermore, a BSC implementation scheme proposal is displayed,which includes a projection of budget costs and benefits gained if this strategic plan wereto be applied. Finally, the sixth chapter highlights the main ideas of this thesis an summarizesthe strategic plan proposal of this study.
