Abstract
Esta memoria tiene la finalidad de desarrollar un programa para la modelación deun sistema de desalinización de agua de mar por el método de humidificación- deshumidificacióncon la utilización de energía solar. En los últimos años se ha producidoun incremento en la utilización de energías renovables no convencionales con el objetivode reducir el consumo de combustibles fósiles y así aminorar los problemas medioambientales que estos provocan. Es por esto que se ha aplicado la energía solar enuna planta de desalinización, con el fin de producir agua dulce y limpia apta para laagricultura, la industria y también para el consumo humano.El software utilizado para el modelamiento de la planta de desalinización del tipoCAOW fue “Engineering Equation Solver”, donde se desarrolló el modelo de los componentesprincipales. Para el modelo completo se construyó una macros la cual hacecorrer el programa con los tres componentes y así, simular el comportamiento de unaplanta de desalinización de este tipo.Los resultados obtenidos a través del modelo son comparados con la planta dedesalación instalada en el Laboratorio de Energías Renovables de nuestra universidadubicada en Avenida Federico Santa María 6090 de la ciudad de Viña del Mar. Alefectuar la comparación se valida el modelo creado dado que los resultados simuladossiguen el comportamiento de la planta fabricada y probada.
This thesis has the purpose to develop a program for the modeling of a system ofdesalination of see water through the method of humidification-deshumidification withthe utilization of solar energy. In the pass years it’s been an increase in the utilizationof unconventional renewable energies with the objective of reduce the consumption offossil fuels and so lessen the environmental problems that these cause. That is whyIt’s been applied the solar energy in a desalination plant with the purpose of producesweet and clean water suitable for the agriculture, the industry and also for the humanconsumption.The software used for the modeling of the desalination plant of the kind CAOW itwas “Engineering Equation Solver” where it developed the model of the main components.For the complete model it built a macros which makes the program run with thetree components and so simulate the behavior of a desalination plant of this kind.The results obtained through the model are compared to the desalination plant installedin the laboratory of renewable energies of our university located in Avenida FedericoSanta María in the city of Viña del Mar. When the comparison is made the modelcreated is validated because the simulate result follow the behavior of the manufacturedand tested plant.
