Nuclear physics brought us the discovery of radioisotopes and ionizing radiations. This event opened manydoors to practical studies on phenomena that surpass our knowledge. It also brought new risks, recklessness andbad uses of a technology that can study the smallest, the photoelectric effect, or destroy the largest, such as anuclear fission bomb.Talking about the smallest, science has achieved important findings and studies, such as “The study ofquantum mechanics by Albert Einstein” and “The phenomenon of secondary”, which finally representedthe main ingredients for the creation of the first “Photomultiplier tube”, technology that by the end of 300will become a standard in decay of a particle. The creation of the Photomultiplier tube (PMT) brought largefindings such as electronic eyes that measure interruptions or events in a beam of light. In conjunction with a“Crystal Scintillator” it brought wonders of advances in medicine, industry and mining. In the mining approach, the concentrate of the minerals of various metals is calculated considering a seriesof variables that are not always available to those who are interested in knowing in depth the real value of thisnatural product. These products constitute a mixture of valuable metals and are named after the metal whichis found to be in the highest proportion, for example, a copper concentrate may contain between 30% to 50%Copper and other valuable metals may be present in much lower percentages, but are more valuable than copperitself. The need to know the exact concentration of these by-products of the copper concentrate and copper itselfrequires a thorough mineralogy study that can take days and at a great cost to the mining company. Thispaper will introduce a solution about this need, which deals with a machine capable of rapidly and efficientlydelivering density measurements in a copper concentrate.eng
