Abstract
AYRA pretende ser un momento de experiencia relacional y colectiva con el viento, fuerza fenomenológica natural delambiente, esencial, libre, y gratuita, que en diálogo con morfologías responsivas permite configuraciones dinámicas demovimiento que determinan diferentes formas, tonalidades lumínicas y efectos sonoros, capaces de generar experienciasúnicas en relación con la naturaleza.El proceso proyectual se basa en la observación de éstas relaciones de experiencia natural que se dan de manera espontáneaal afectar el viento a una morfología de carácter responsivo como la vegetación, y como ésta relación de afecciónse puede traspasar a un dispositivo a modo de instalación en el espacio público para interactuar directamente con elhabitante.La instalación se constituye por una “masa” de bolsas plásticas, dispositivos responsivos a la fuerza del viento, que tienencomo principal objetivo servir de cuerpo mediador al ofrecer visibilidad al movimiento del viento y la consecuenteproyección visual, sonora y háptica que genere en la percepción del habitante.El proyecto se propone generar un intersticio espacial y temporal, que se puede ver amplificado o mutado en cadainstante. Así el viento se traduce en cuerpo en movimiento, y este nuevo cuerpo induce a nuevos actos o modelos deacción.A partir de la develación de las condiciones naturales del lugar se quiere repercutir en la cotidianeidad del habitante,configurando así, un encuentro con variables de la naturaleza y el paisaje que el habitante ha ido perdiendo a raíz de laurbanización.La instalación pretende ser un médium entre el viento que nos rodea y el acto del habitante.
AYRA pretends to create a moment of collective experience with the wind, with nature’s natural phenomenologicalstrength, essential, free, and available. All of this, in a dialogue with responsive morphologies that will allow dynamicmotion settings such as determining different shapes, lighting tones and sound effects. This will be able to produce uniqueexperience in relation to nature.The design process is based on the observation of the interactions that the natural factors will experience spontaneouslyby making the wind’s morphology a responsive emitter to, for example, vegetation. Adding on, it will be observed howthis interaction of affection can be transferred to a device installation mode, in a public space, to interact directly withthe habitant.The installation is defined by a “mass” of plastic bags, that are responsive devices to the force of the wind, which areaimed principally to work as a mediating body tool. These bags will provide visibility to the movement of the wind andthe consequent visual projection; sound, and haptic that will generate in the perception of the habitant.The project aims to generate a spatial and temporal gap, that could be amplified or mutated in every moment. This way,the wind will be able to transform into body movement, and this new body will induce new acts or patterns of action.Starting from the unveiling of the natural conditions of the place, it’s desired to affect the daily life of who’s around.Thus, configuring a meeting with nature’s variables, and also the landscape that our society has been losing and fadingaway due to urbanization.The installation aims to be a medium between the wind that surrounds us and the routinary act of habitant.
