Abstract
El Urbanismo es una actividad que tiene por objetivo la intervención sobre la realidad de una ciudad para orientar su desarrollo. Las metodologías de intervención, dependen del escenario tiempo/espacio en el cual se encuentra la ciudad, siendo ellas muy variadas históricamente.Si bien la ciudad de Curicó ha pasado por urbanismos expansivos, hoy la necesidad es otra, reconstruir una ciudad dañada por un terremoto.“Parque Estación Curicó”, nace en respuesta a los cambios evolutivos que ha tenido la ciudad, atendiendo aquellas zonas que no han sido consideradas en las expansiones actuales, pretendiendo anticiparse a tales eventos equipando zonas que dan pie a nuevos centros urbanos.Aprovechando un evento natural, como lo fue el terremoto del 27 de febrero del año 2010, donde la ciudad se vio deteriorada y destruida, se propone repensar el crecimiento, con proyectos de interés ciudadano. El municipio presenta un Plan de Reconstrucción Sustentable (PRES) el cual sometido a votación ciudadana y evaluación de profesionales del área, pone en tablero proyectos a mediano y largo plazo. Con la idea de generar una red urbana se plantean proyectos viales, proyectos de áreas verdes, y recuperación de edificios patrimoniales.Por otra parte, uno de los puntos más conflictivos para poder llevar un crecimiento homogéneo dentro de la ciudad ha sido la línea férrea, que desde un comienzo fue un proyecto que se realizó para poder dar un crecimiento económico, social y urbano a Curicó y sus comunas vecinas, pero que hoy, para muchos es un germen de segregación en diversos aspectos para los habitantes de la ciudad.Desarrollando un diagnóstico tomando como herramientas, movilidad y áreas verdes, se llega a una propuesta de revitalización de un área perdida, como escenario de entrada a la ciudad, vinculando dos sectores que por más de 100 años permanecieron unidos únicamente por un paso sobre nivel en la línea férrea.

The intervention methodologies depend on the scenario time / space of the city, where they varied historically.Though the city of Curicó has gone through expansive town planning, today something else is requested: rebuild an earthquake-damaged city.“Parque Estación Curicó” is born in response to evolving changes that the city has had, bearing in mind that those areas were not considered in the current expansion, and trying to anticipate such events equipping areas that give rise to new urban centers.Taking advantage of a natural event, like the earthquake of February 27 of 2010 where the city was damaged and destroyed, it is intended to rethink the expansion, with projects of citizen interest. The municipality presents a Plan for sustainable reconstruction, which was submitted to the citizens’ vote and the professionals’ assessment that puts on board projects in medium and long term. Road projects, landscaping projects, and reactivation of heritage buildings projects are designed with the idea of creating an urban network.Besides, the railway line has been one of the more contentious topics for a homogeneous growth within the city. The railway line was, from the beginning, a project that was conducted to provide an economic, social and urban growth to Curicó and its neighbouring communes, but today, for many it is a seed of segregation for the inhabitants of the city in various aspects.Developing a diagnostic using mobility and green areas as tools, this leads to a proposal that considers a revitalization of an unused area, which will be the scenario of entrance in the city, linking two sectors that remained united for more than 100 years by a level crossing in the railway only.
