GENERAR ESTRATEGIA DE MANTENIMIENTO PARA SISTEMAS CONTRA INCENDIO EN CAMPUS SAN JOAQUÍN

Abstract

Este documento expone el desarrollo de una estrategia de mantenimiento de un sistema de extinción de incendios en un establecimiento educacional, para garantizar, dentro de cierto grado, el buen funcionamiento de éste en caso de ser necesario.El trabajo muestra la importancia de la aplicación de las normas de seguridad, principalmente en sitios donde el flujo de personas es regular y considerablemente alto. El respeto y aplicación de dichas normas es indispensable para salvaguardar tanto vidas humanas como recursos materiales.La norma de seguridad de la cual se ahonda en esta ocasión se concentra en la inspección, prueba y mantenimiento de sistemas fijos contra incendios a base de agua de acuerdo a la NFPA 25 y en la normativa para extintores NFPA 10. Cabe mencionar que dichas norma no son obligatorias en Chile, pero son aplicables en el sitio a estudiar.

This document shows the development of a maintenance strategy for a fire preventive hydraulic system on an educational building, searching the goal of bringing a certain degree of reliability that the system will work when it is needed.The work shows the importance of the aplication of security normatives, specialy in places where the people flow is frecuent and high. The respect and aplication of those normatives are highly important for saving human lifes and organization’s resources.The security normative that will be seen in this document is the NFPA 25, “Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems” and the NFPA 10, “Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers”. These normatives aren’t obligatory in Chile, but it is completely applicable in the studied place.
