Abstract
Este trabajo busca mejorar la precisión en la estimación del factor K de Rice que caracteriza un canal de propagación inalámbrico. Específicamente se evalúa el efecto que tiene utilizar el método basado en las envolventes reales de los voltajes, método de los momentos [6], en contraste con el estimador propuesto que añade información de la fase. Una vez realizado esto se espera una mejora en la estimación en el intervalo [0-2] que es precisamente donde el desempeño del estimador de los momentos no es bueno, esto no implica que el estimador no mejore en otro rango.Para esto se presentarán tres distintos métodos de estimación del factor K, los cuales serán sujetos a evaluación, para finalmente seleccionar uno, el cual será comparado con el método de los momentos [6].
This work aims to improve the precision in the estimation of Rice K factor that characterizes a wireless propagation channel. Specifically, we evaluate the effect of the method based on the actual envelope of the voltages, method of the moments [6], in contrast to the proposed estimator that adds phase information. Once this is done we expect an improvement in the estimation in the interval [0-2] which is precisely where the performance of the moment estimator is not good, this does not imply that the estimator does not improve in another range. For this, three different methods of estimation of factor K will be presented, which will be subject to evaluation, to finally select one, which will be compared with the method of moments [6].
