Abstract
En la presente memoria se desarrolla un plan de negocios para la empresa de mantención mecánica industrial Génesis Ltda., la cual realiza trabajos de mantención a equipos industriales como cintas de transporte, maquinas embotelladoras, maquinas envasadoras, entre otros. La demanda de la mantención mecánica industrial depende netamente de la cantidad de empresas manufactureras que se encuentran en funcionamiento. El crecimiento de la industria manufacturera objetivo se estima en un 2.16% anual para el país, y un 4.33% anual para Santiago. Actualmente, la empresa se encuentra produciendo al límite de su capacidad.El servicio se entrega de dos formas: mantención preventiva y mantención correctiva. La función del primero es evitar que se requieran mantenciones correctivas frecuentes. El precio de este servicio depende del tipo de mantención y además de la máquina y las piezas necesarias a fabricar o reparar.La estrategia que se planea seguir a nivel corporativo corresponde a crecimiento, y a nivel de negocios corresponde liderazgo de servicio, ya que la ventaja competitiva de la empresa es la rápida respuesta a los requerimientos del cliente. Se planea realizar un aumento de la capacidad para cubrir más demanda.El estudio económico indica que el escenario más conveniente corresponde a financiar un 70% del proyecto con deuda y un 30% por parte del inversionista, dando como resultado un VAN de 6728.08 UF, o $174,697,381 pesos chilenos. En un horizonte de evaluación de 10 años y una tasa de descuento de 15.5%. El análisis de sensibilidad indica que es recomendable invertir en el proyecto de expansión, ya que el escenario más pesimista implica un VAN > 0.
This report develops a business plan for the industrial mechanical maintenance company Genesis LLP (limited liability partnership), which mainly fixes industrial equipment such as conveyor belts, bottling machines, packaging machines, and others. The demand of the industrial mechanical maintenance depends mostly on the amount of manufacturing companies that are currently active. The growth of the target part of the manufacturing industry estimated in the full country is 2.16% a year, while the growth in Santiago is 4.33% a year. The company currently runs at full capacity.The service is delivered in two different types: preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance. The goal of the first one is to reduce the frequency of corrective maintenances that industrial machines might need during their lifespan. The price of the service depends on the type, and also the type of machine and pieces that need to be fixed or replaced.The strategy to follow in corporative level is “growth”, and in business level is “service leadership”, which is based on the competitive advantage that Genesis currently possesses; quick response to the client requirements. The plan is to expand the capacity to cover a higher amount of demand.The economic analysis shows that the most convenient scenario has a 70% of debt financing and 30% of investor’s financing. This scenario has a Net Present Value (NPV) of 6728.08 UF, or $174,697,381 CLP. The evaluation period is 10 years, using a discount rate of 15.5%. The sensitivity analysis shows that its recommendable to invest in the expansion project, due to the most pessimistic scenario having a Net Present Value higher than zero.
